As a prelude to International Women's Rights Day, the Digital Platform for the Protection of Women and Girls in Africa (PNFA) is organizing the launch of its activities on March 24 in Niger.
In several African countries, young women suffer physical,
psychological or sexual violence, most often inflicted by intimate partners. Today, the situation is even more difficult for young women without papers (excerpt from birth certificates or national identity card) and often hesitate to report abuse to the police for fear of being arrested, discriminated against or otherwise ill-treated.
-They do not have access to the protective measures of the government of their country nor to the legal remedies which they will be able to avail themselves of like a person with a national identity document. The PNFA and its partners seek the partnership of other legal institutions and associations or NGOs fighting for the protection of young women in Niger and in Africa. The goal for us is to work together to say stop to sexual abuse, discrimination etc...
Come and see the launch of the Android application which will allow young African women to file a complaint or make denunciations, with the justice system, the police, the gendarmerie in the event of sexual, psychological violence, etc.
The participation of all African women will be welcome for effective and efficient protection.
You should also know that this platform will be the linchpin in terms of sustainable development.
Niger on March 24 the Android application will be operational in your phones.
